Via two workshops in 2025, it became clear that there were a number of concerns regarding the technology. The monitoring system 
was designed to measure body temperature, breathing rate and pulse and movement but Viewpoint members identifed the following issues:
* Implications for patient privacy
* GDPR and data storage issues
* No evidence that patient safety was improved.
* Issues around patient consent
* The risks of patient trauma associated with possible surveillance
* The concern that technology may be replacing human care and being a way to cover for under-staffed wards.

This is a good news story that shows the value of Viewpoint's independence and support for those with mental health challenges 
in the county.
