Purpose

To assist the Viewpoint with research, data collection and analysis and support the organisation to raise the quality of our reseach provided to the mental health and Drug and Alcohol social care sector in Hertfordshire by developing and delivering research projects from feedback gathered from our members, carers, stakeholders and wider public.

Main Tasks

· Gather feedback by making phone calls/desk based research
· Designing surveys and questionnaires
· Analyse results looking for patterns
· Make recommendations based on findings
· Produce written reports
· Share findings and reports with Viewpoint board, staff, members stakeholders and wider Hertfordshire public.

Skills, experience and qualities required

· Good verbal and listening skills
· An interest in carrying out research
· Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Be able to work under own initiative
· Excellent organisational skills
Desireable but not essential:
· Used Survey Monkey previously
· Lived experience of mental health, drug & Alcohol and related physical health issues
· Experience of writing research reports
· Experience of handling data according to data protection policies.
· Experience of presenting research findings to a variety of audiences.

When and where

We hope our Research Volunteer(s) can volunteer with us for at least 6 to 12 months. Time and days flexible, this will be a regular volunteering role. You could work from the office or home.
