Do you want to have time and space to share and talk to others about your experience of mental health challenges?

Our Peer support groups aim to enable people with mental health challenges to have time and space to develop relationships and support through mutual connections. We encourage sharing experiencing and stories to problem solve to help better manage mental wellbeing.

About The Group

By listening to each other, sharing difficulties or concerns, we know that helps individuals find their own solution and helps them feel supported and have the self-confidence to try different ways of managing and moving forwards on their recovery journey.

One important aspect of the group is being non-judgmental, everyone's views are heard and considered equally.

Values and behaviours are essential to include participation, openness, trust, confidentiality, listening without interrupting, respecting differences of view and keeping to agreed timing.

There will be two peer co-facilitators supporting the group. All of the sessions will take place via zoom and last for 1.5 hours.

The group will enable individuals to:

  • Come together as equals
  • Share knowledge, experience, concerns, successes and challenges
  • Provide help and support to each other in a solution-focused way
