This #HIVAwarenessWeek, Viewpoint are pleased to be a part of the conversation with our upcoming HIV Awareness and Confidence session with Terrence Higgins Trust on Thursday 10th March at 11AM.

This training will be delivered via the use of Zoom and is fully interactive using all features of online zoom training including, polls, breakout rooms for group discussions, interactive whiteboards, chat rooms with the power of face to face training.

Terrence Higgins Trust is the UK’s largest HIV and Sexual Health Charity, aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of those diagnosed with HIV, as well as to eradicate stigma and discrimination around the condition.

Terrence Higgins Trust has been operating in Hertfordshire since August 2018, providing individual and community one to one support to people living with HIV.

At the end of the training, each attendee should:

  • Have increased awareness of HIV and AIDS and up to date information
  • Be able to identify routes of transmission and how to protect against them.
  • Understand different levels of risk in relation to HIV transmission.
  • Receive current information on advances in HIV treatment and the importance of managing treatment adherence.
  • Understand how stigma and discrimination affects people living with HIV in our communities.
  • Gain an understanding of how the law applies to a person living HIV.
