Our next Get Together is taking place on Wednesday 30 March, featuring special guest Joanna Carter from Herts Vision Loss.

The session will cover some background into the work of the organisation and go into more detail into the definitions of visual impairment and its prevalence in the wider community. We'll be looking at the impact of sight loss, inclusive of whether it's experienced as a young person, teenager or adult, and look at what effects it has on both physical and mental health; as well as focusing on recovery and what someone might do to rebuild and lead a fulfilling life after sight loss. There will, as usual, be more information on available services and support open to those who'd like to know more about the subject (or get some help themselves), including mental health support for visually impaired people.
