Our Lunch and Fun project is for people with mental health challenges who feel isolated, lonely and unconnected to their community. With funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are able to offer 5 lunch time meet ups. These ‘Lunch and Fun’ sessions will take place across Hertfordshire.

Due to the Corona Virus we have had to change the model of this project a little to accommodate social distancing and have decided to hold picnics in open spaces.

We are inviting 8 people to each lunch and will contribute a meal deal and nutritious snacks (dietary requirements will be taken into account). There will also be an opportunity to talk, discuss and problem solve – this will be supported by 2 Peer facilitators.

Stevenage Picnic held at Fairlands Valley Park on the 27th of August 2020

A great time was had by all at our Lunch and Fun picnic held in the lovely Fairlands Valley Park.

We had a relaxing stroll around the lake, a bite to eat and a good chin wag. We were also joined by the lovable Tizer who enjoyed swimming in the lakes and the scraps of our sarnies.

Thank you all up came along, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
