Thursday 10th September is World Suicide Prevention Day which provides the opportunity for people, across the globe, to raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. This year Hertfordshire Suicide Prevention Network has worked with a range of inspirational people to share their lived experience of suicide which we would love for you to read and share widely Click here to see them. By working together to raise awareness we can reach our vision that no one in Hertfordshire will feel like suicide is their only option.

Get involved on the day by using the hashtag #SuicidePreventionHerts and #WSPD to be featured on our Suicide Prevention Network Website.

Virtual Suicide Prevention Conference Thursday 10 September 1-5pm

We would also like to invite you to join a virtual conference held by HPFT on World Suicide Prevention Day, Thursday 10 September 1-5pm. This important event will help to raise awareness of the issues and the suicide prevention work happening in Hertfordshire. There will also be an updated training session on risk assessment and a Schwartz round. Please save the date and register your interest at: [email protected]

Shortly we will be releasing a 3 year Hertfordshire suicide audit which provides a more detailed insight into suicides within Hertfordshire to identify trends and any areas where additional focus is required locally, versus the national picture. We will also be sharing the 2020-2025 strategy with you all with the aim to gradually restart the programme of work depending on the current climate.
