Charity Involvement Rewards - Benefits, Tax Declaration and the Main Rules

About this event

Viewpoint supports people who have a background in mental health as well as addiction challenges. By encouraging and inviting you to have your say, this feedback can go towards greatly improving mental health and addiction services.

It is sometimes the case that people get paid for certain types of involvement, as carers or service-users, in helping organisations improve what they offer to the public. But do you know how payments could affect any benefits that you get? Or whether the payments need to be declared for tax purposes?

Gary Vaux, from the County Council’s Money Advice Unit, will be running a session on Zoom on Thursday 23rd September 10:30 – 11:30am, to go through some of the main rules and answer any questions you might have.
