Our Art Group

We are inviting North Hertfordshire Resident's to join us in exploring different artists, styles of art and techniques and have an experiment and play with those styles and techniques. There is no set agenda so bring your own ideas and we will do our best to plan these in as we go.

The sessions will be split between some discussion and learning and looking at exercises we can all work on between sessions. We will work with the materials you currently have to hand or can acquire easily so there is no need to buy anything for the sessions. The sessions will be an opportunity to connect with others in an informal setting who want to use art and creativity to help with their wellbeing.

Our Art group will be on Friday's at 11AM-12PM starting from the 16th of April and will consist of an hour session for 12 weeks. By confirming attendance, you are committing to attending all of the sessions. You only need to register for the first date to confirm all sessions.

Each group is run by 2 Peer Facilitators who are using creativity to help them with their recovery.

The aims of the groups are:

  • Make connections;
  • Gain practical experience in creative expression;
  • Use creativity to improve wellbeing.
  • Unlock your creative potential.

These sessions will be delivered through Zoom (a free video conferencing system) and are fully interactive. All group members who book onto our sessions are expected to attend all of the sessions and participate in the activities and discussions to ensure everyone gets the most out of the session. Once you have signed up you will receive a Zoom invite via email so please do keep an eye!

You will need to provide your own materials e.g pencils, pens, paper etc.
