Training

“Nothing ever becomes real 'til it is experienced.”

John Keats 1795-1821

Our training courses are designed and delivered by those with a lived experience of mental ill health / drug & alcohol misuse.

This puts us in a unique position as we offer training that is reflective, authentic and experiential.

We offer bespoke training on many areas, for example, Personality Disorder, Transgender Awareness, Mental Health First Aid and the Impact of Substance Misuse on the whole family.

We regularly run:

  • Pre Peer mentoring Training
  • Confidence Building courses
  • Involvement training

"A BIG 'thank you' to the two trainers who came to the UOH last Friday. As a student mental health nurse and a former carer to a family member, it was really refreshing to bear witness to your experience. You both reminded me why I've bothered to train. Thanks for helping me to be someone you might want to engage with on the wards.”
