A countywide Out of Hours Crisis Service
In a crisis and need someone to talk to? Herts NightLight can provide late night support in a safe place during your time of crisis. Two of our centres, Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage, can also provide beds if an overnight stay will help. You can either refer yourself or be referred by a professional, family member or friend. You can also speak to us by calling our helpline where our dedicated team of crisis support workers and peer mentors will be on hand to listen and provide support.
As of Friday 5th June we will be open in two locations within the county. The first two bases that are opening are in Stevenage in the East of the county and Watford in the West of the county. These two service will be open from 6pm until 2am on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday each week. As more staff are recruited to the team and complete their initial training we will be able to open the Hemel Hempstead and Ware centres as well.
The NightLight phone number is 01923 256391. This number will be used for referrals and for the helpline element of the service. Please see the attached PDF’s for the marketing content that will be distributed within the county during this week, the telephones will be live by 5th June first night of operation.
