Last year the Trust worked closely with staff, service users, carers and local people, to develop a values and behaviours framework to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with their services has a positive experience.
As an organisation they have a clear aspiration to create the right conditions that enable staff to deliver high quality, effective and compassionate care. They are therefore aspiring to excellence in recruitment, induction, training and appraisals for all staff, clearly aligned to their organisational values.
To achieve this, the Trust needs to develop and implement a robust recruitment process which attracts and selects candidates on the basis that their individual values and behaviours align with the values of the Trust.
The purpose of Values Based Recruitment is to ensure that the future and current workforce is selected against the values of the Trust so that they recruit for the right workforce not only with the right skills and in the right numbers but with the right values to support effective team working in delivering excellent patient care and experience.
