A chance for each of us to shine

Jane reflects on nominating with her smTalkingCircles group in 2017 and the new energy it gave them:

Without a doubt, nominating our group was definitely a worthwhile exploration. The whole process created a space to reflect on where we had started and where we were now.

I would encourage any peer group – large or small – to enjoy the process, a bit like enjoying the dance. We definitely made the most of the dance. Members re-kindled certain skills like writing copy and taking responsibility for a specific role in the application process. It was a chance for each of us to shine.

The value of peer support took on a new level of meaning for our group. So give it a go – put in your nomination for the Marsh Awards - value your part in peer support – but more importantly learn from and enjoy the experience. We did!
