Our next phase of regulation

This month we launched the second consultation on our next phase of regulation.

It includes new proposals for how we'll regulate primary medical care services such as GPs and dentists and adult social care services like care homes and home-care services. We'd love to hear your views.

Driving improvement: NHS case studies

We've produced a collection of eight case studies of NHS trusts that have shown significant improvement and are now 'well-led'.

These case studies feature interviews with senior level and frontline staff, patients, patient-representative groups and external stakeholders.

New ratings map launched

We've published a new map showing ratings for hospitals, GP practices and care homes across England.

You can use this map to search for services in your area, compare ratings and read inspection reports.

CQC and WI leaflet now available

Working with the National Federation of Women's Institutes, we've produced a leaflet for family members that care for a relative.

The leaflet sets out what carers should expect from a good hospital and aims to encourage them and the family members they care for to share their experiences of care with CQC.

We're England's independent health and adult social care regulator.

We monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet standards of quality and safety and we publish what we find, including performance ratings to help people choose care.
