Are you passionate about working towards a fairer Hertfordshire? Do you have the skills and commitment to drive forward a strategic plan for Hertfordshire Equality Council? If so, we would like to invite you to come to our Trustee Recruitment Evening.

HEC is a bold, new organisation that is currently being set-up. The project is a joint initiative between CDA for Herts, Herts County Council, Herts Constabulary, Herts NHS and Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The project is in its final stage of development and we are currently seeking individuals to form HEC board.

As a Trustee you will act in a voluntary, non-executive capacity, and for the first year will be appointed to a Transitional Board until an election takes place at HEC’s first Annual General Meeting. The term of office is three years. The successful candidates must be available to attend minimum of 5 meetings per year, and an initial full day strategy training session. Travel expenses will be paid.

A management committee will meet to discuss and short list the applications and those short listed will be asked to attend an interview. The panel is looking for certain skills (please look at the Role Description) to ensure the smooth transition of HEC into an independent organisation.
