Mental Well-Being Advisor

c£22,300 - £24,400 pa with further progression to c£26,600 pa

The Equality Unit, as part of promoting equality across the University, provides a range
of disability support services.This new post in the Unit will provide specialist support
for students and staff experiencing mental health difficulties and will promote positive
approaches to mental well-being.
You will work across the University, liaising closely with colleagues who provide medical,
counselling and disability support.You will also work with external providers of mental
health services and organisations promoting best practice approaches.
You will have professional qualifications and a track record of successfully working with
mental health service users.To succeed in this post you must be a self-starter used to
working in multi-disciplinary teams, able to establish and sustain this unique role within
a large complex organisation. Experience of working in higher education is desirable
but not essential.
