After a lot of hard work, Viewpoint has finally taken delivery of its new Renault minbus.
As well as carrying members to forums and meetings around Hertfordshire, the 14-seat Renault Master minibus can be easily adapted to act as a mobile meeting room, or support exhibitions promoting Viewpoint’s work.
Funded by Hertfordshire County Council and East Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust, and supplied by Renault owned dealer chain Reagroup through Renault Enfield, the Master will also be available to other local organisations when it’s not needed by Viewpoint and will also be used for minibus driver training.
Dennis Edwards, Manager of Viewpoint, said: “Our members are active across the county making sure people who use mental health services can give their views to those who provide them. Having our own vehicle will allow us to cover the county more easily. It is extremely versatile, with flexible seating including two dedicated seats for wheelchair users and a powered lift for easy access.
“We’re grateful to the funders of the minibus – getting our own vehicle is a milestone for Viewpoint and will help us have a stronger presence across Hertfordshire,” Dennis added.
